Duties and Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate contractual indemnity and insurance provisions.
  • Provide legal advice to clients regarding insurance coverage issues.
  • Research and stay updated on current trends and case law related to insurance coverage.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm.
  • Participate in client meetings and provide strategic guidance on insurance matters.
  • Represent clients in settlement negotiations and mediation proceedings.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of experience in insurance coverage law.
  • Experience representing policyholders in insurance coverage matters.
  • Familiarity with reviewing insurance policies, handling claims, and litigating coverage disputes.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Experience with construction insurance coverage and corporate transactional work is a plus.
  • A New York Bar license is required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications
