Junior Associate needed for Morristown office

Job Overview:

A dynamic law firm is seeking a Junior Associate to join its Liability & Excess Coverage team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile, complex insurance coverage cases, involving product liability, environmental issues, asbestos, talc, and property liability matters. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside respected and experienced attorneys while gaining valuable experience in the field of insurance coverage law.

Location:

• New Jersey, USA

Duties:

• Analyze insurance policies and draft coverage opinions.
• Provide coverage advice to clients on various complex insurance matters.
• Conduct legal research, analyze findings, and prepare legal memoranda.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence.
• Participate in formal correspondence with opposing counsel and other parties.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as needed.

Requirements:

• Excellent academic credentials.
• JD (Class of 2021, 2022, or 2023).
• Admission to practice law in New Jersey (additional admissions are a plus).
• Interest or experience in working on complex insurance coverage matters.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in New Jersey (required). Additional state admissions are a plus.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge and interest in insurance coverage law, including product liability and environmental matters.
• Proficient in legal research and writing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when needed.
