Job Overview: A law firm in Hanover, PA, is a self-starting and energetic Estate/Elder Law Attorney. This position is ideal for a recent law school graduate who has passed the Pennsylvania Bar examination and is licensed to practice in the Commonwealth. The ideal candidate will be intensely interested in learning and practicing Basic Estate Planning, Advanced Estate Planning, and Elder Law.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and finalize legal documents related to estate planning, such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Advise clients on estate planning strategies to meet their financial and personal goals.
  • Represent clients in probate and estate administration matters.
  • Assist clients with elder law issues, including Medicaid planning, long-term care planning, and guardianships.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on estate and elder law changes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and ensuring they understand the legal process.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services.
  • Participate in community outreach and educational programs related to estate and elder law.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Passed the Pennsylvania Bar examination.
  • Licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Strong interest in estate planning and elder law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
