A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney to join its team in Lawrenceville, GA. This full-time role focuses on defending litigated workers' compensation and general liability claims. The successful candidate will collaborate with experienced partners in a supportive and collegial environment, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic area of law.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in litigated workers' compensation and general liability claims.
  • Conduct legal research, draft motions, and prepare pleadings and briefs.
  • Engage in case strategy development and provide recommendations to clients.
  • Participate in discovery, including depositions and the preparation of witnesses.
  • Handle hearings, mediations, and trials as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of experience in workers' compensation law.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Effective time management and the ability to handle a caseload independently.
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to work closely with senior attorneys.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar admission in Georgia.
  • Additional consideration for candidates admitted to practice in Tennessee and/or Florida.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal analysis and case strategy development.
  • Strong oral and written advocacy abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
