This opportunity is ideal for a licensed attorney with experience or interest in a wide range of cases, including automobile and motor carrier liability, construction litigation, product liability, real estate litigation, contract disputes, premises liability, personal injury, workers' compensation, and more. The firm has been serving the insurance industry for over 50 years and has an AV Martindale-Hubbell rating. Attorneys are admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in Tennessee and Georgia. The firm is located in downtown Chattanooga, offering easy access to local courts and is strategically located between major cities such as Atlanta, Nashville, and Knoxville.

Location:

  • Chattanooga, TN

Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on a wide variety of legal issues.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in various legal matters.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on their rights and obligations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and development.
  • Efficiently manage case files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar of Tennessee or Georgia (must be licensed in one of these states).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex legal concepts.
  • Proficiency in legal drafting and familiarity with relevant legal software tools.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar License (Required) – Tennessee or Georgia.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in legal drafting (pleadings, motions, contracts).
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and tasks efficiently.
