Job Overview

A prestigious law firm is seeking a mid to senior-level Project Finance Associate for its Project & Energy group. This role will focus on energy transition financing, offering the chance to work on internationally recognized projects, including complex financing deals in the renewable energy sector. Duties

• Handle transactions related to financing and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) in the energy transition sector.
• Manage tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents for project finance and M&A transactions.
• Provide strategic legal and financial advice on energy transition projects.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to execute complex, high-value deals.
• Lead and support innovative energy transition financing projects across the firm's national offices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy transition finance matters.
• Expertise in handling tax equity and renewable energy tax credit transactions.
• Strong legal writing, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
• Demonstrated skills in client management and communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Must be admitted to practice in the jurisdiction of the respective office location.
