Senior Personal Injury Attorney

Job Overview
A growing civil litigation law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Personal Injury Attorney with experience in managing personal injury cases from start to finish. This role involves handling a caseload of personal injury litigation matters, including discovery, depositions, court appearances, and settlements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury litigation and will be provided with mentorship opportunities and professional development through trial preparation and focus groups.

Duties

• Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury matters in litigation.
• Draft and file legal documents on behalf of clients, including complaints.
• Prepare clients for depositions and hearings.
• Take and defend depositions throughout the litigation process.
• Draft and respond to motions, including dispositive motions.
• Attend court appearances and mediations.
• Negotiate settlements for personal injury cases.
• Direct and support investigations for all assigned litigation matters.
• Collaborate with lead attorneys and participate in trial preparation and attorney skill development programs.

Requirements

• 1-4 years of experience in personal injury law, including pre-litigation and discovery.
• Strong litigation background, particularly in personal injury cases.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active and in good standing with the California State Bar.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
• Experience with workers' compensation cases is a plus.
• Strong written discovery and deposition skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the State of California.
