Job Overview:

As a key member of the firm, the successful candidate will take on a first-chair role, managing a varied docket of criminal cases with full support from a dedicated legal team, including paralegals and administrative staff.

Duties:

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare various legal documents such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
  • Represent clients in court, advocating on their behalf during hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings
  • Supervise and provide leadership to administrative staff, paralegals, and law clerks
  • Manage and organize case files, client meetings, court appearances, and deadlines effectively
  • Advise clients by analyzing available options, formulating strategies, and recommending courses of action to achieve the best possible outcomes
  • Oversee client billing, invoicing, and project finalization processes in collaboration with administrative teams

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a law firm or criminal law practice
  • Must be an active member of the local bar association
  • Experience working with legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Must hold a valid law license in the state of Oklahoma or be eligible to obtain one

Certifications:
