Job Overview:
A reputable plaintiff law firm based in Glendale, CA, is seeking a skilled and driven Personal Injury Associate Attorney. This firm specializes in representing clients in personal injury and sexual assault cases, including but not limited to motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, premises liability, and sexual assault. The firm offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment where attorneys are allowed to grow and advance their legal careers.

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of 40 to 60 active litigation files from inception through all stages of litigation.
  • Draft, review, and respond to discovery requests.
  • Handle law and motion practice, including legal research and brief writing.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Engage in mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
  • Represent clients in all phases of litigation.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to strategize case progression.
  • Maintain an organized case file management system.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and guidance on case developments.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and an ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in personal injury litigation.
  • Proven experience managing a large caseload of litigation files.
  • Excellent research, writing, and advocacy skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Experience in taking and defending depositions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
