A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical Attorney for their Pine Brook, NJ office.

 

Job Overview:

The Mid-Level Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical Attorney will be responsible for providing legal counsel and strategic advice to pharmaceutical, pharmacy, and healthcare clients on a variety of regulatory and operational matters. They will handle an array of health insurance, managed care, market access, and regulatory-related issues, collaborating with a diverse team of attorneys and assisting in the development of effective compliance programs.

 

Duties:

  • Handle a diverse docket of pharmacy and life sciences regulatory issues
  • Provide strategic and legal advice to healthcare and life sciences clients
  • Assess operational structure and processes of pharmacies and healthcare/life sciences companies
  • Draft policies, standard operating procedures, and compliance programs
  • Analyze and structure arrangements among Life Sciences stakeholders
  • Draft policies and procedures regarding marketing activities related to pharmacies and drug products
  • Review commercial contracts, payor and managed care agreements, software licensing agreements, etc.
  • Communicate effectively with clients
  • Mentor and lead other team members

 

Requirements:

  • JD degree with excellent academic credentials
  • Licensed to practice law in New Jersey or New York
  • 4+ years of experience practicing law, with at least 3 years focusing on Pharmacy, Life Sciences, and/or Healthcare related matters
  • Experience advising on pharmaceutical pricing, managed care access and reimbursement, and government pricing requirements
  • Previous supervisory experience required
  • Familiarity with healthcare laws and regulations
  • Superior research and writing skills
  • Strong communication skills

 

Education/Certifications:

  • JD degree
  • Licensed to practice law in New Jersey or New York
