Job Overview: A well-established law firm is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in estate planning, estate and trust administration, and probate law. This position provides an opportunity to work closely with senior attorneys and support staff to provide high-quality legal services in a collaborative and client-centered environment. The role is based in Oakdale, PA, with a focus on drafting legal documents, managing estate and trust administrations, and representing clients in Orphans' Court proceedings.

Location:

Duties:

  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Guardianship pleadings.
  • Meet with clients to discuss their legal needs, explain complex concepts, and provide legal advice.
  • Manage estate and trust administrations, including ancillary probate and Orphans’ Court proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on developments in estate planning, estate administration, tax, and elder law.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
  • Review and ensure legal documents comply with standards and court rules.
  • Proactively address client concerns and offer practical legal solutions.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania (PA).
  • Strong academic credentials with excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Preferred experience in estate planning and estate administration, though not required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Compassionate, client-focused approach to addressing complex legal issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
