Duties

  • Defend clients in construction defect litigation, including claims involving general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals.
  • Handle various other civil litigation cases as needed, ensuring the best possible legal outcomes for clients.
  • Assist with case strategy, preparation, and drafting of legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
  • Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to refine case strategies and receive guidance in complex legal matters.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and experts to gather information and manage case progress.
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure timely updates are provided to clients and colleagues.
  • Engage in legal research and assist with trial preparation as required.

Requirements

  • Admission to the Texas State Bar and in good standing.
  • 0-10 years of experience in civil litigation; some experience in construction defect litigation is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently, handle a diverse caseload, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Strong writing, communication, and research skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proactive and motivated with a commitment to professional growth and client satisfaction.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Texas State Bar license (required).
