A law firm is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel to join their team in Washington, DC. Here are the job details:

Job Overview: The Litigation Of Counsel will be critical in managing and overseeing complex litigation matters, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring high-quality legal representation for clients.

Job Duties:

  • Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Supervise associates and collaborate with other team members.
  • Work closely with experts in various fields relevant to litigation cases.
  • Assist in fact development and conduct depositions as necessary.
  • Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
  • Contribute to the development of case strategy and provide insightful legal analysis.
  • Produce deliverables, answer client inquiries promptly, and maintain responsive communication.
  • Adhere to firm policies and practices, ensuring compliance at all times.
  • Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including extensive computer work and virtual meetings.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of litigation experience, ideally from an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Experience in product liability and complex commercial litigation.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical and medical device industries is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Sound business judgment and excellent organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team or independently as needed.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and problem-solving.
  • Ability to think conceptually and influence others effectively.
  • Management skills to supervise and mentor junior associates.
  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials from nationally recognized institutions.
  • Additional degrees or certifications such as MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology are preferred.
  • Licensed to practice law in New York and admitted to practice in DC.
