A law firm is actively expanding its legal team in Beavercreek, OH, and seeks a driven legal professional with a solid foundation in financial restructuring matters. This is an ideal opportunity for a rising attorney who is ready to take the reins in handling complex debt relief solutions and courtroom advocacy within Ohio's legal system. The selected individual will contribute meaningfully to clients navigating economic hardship while gaining direct mentorship from experienced practitioners.
Guide individuals and businesses through debt resolution processes, including both voluntary and involuntary proceedings.
Analyze financial records, contracts, and regulatory compliance documents to assess the viability of various debt restructuring options.
Draft persuasive motions, petitions, and correspondence for submission in U.S. Bankruptcy Court and related jurisdictions.
Appear in court for hearings, trustee meetings, and confirmation proceedings, ensuring client interests are zealously represented.
Coordinate with clients, creditors, and opposing counsel to negotiate settlements and repayment plans.
Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, case law, and procedural developments affecting insolvency and creditor rights.
Maintain accurate, confidential case files and track deadlines across multiple dockets and filing systems.
Active law license with eligibility to practice in the state of Ohio (required).
Between 1 and 6 years of direct experience handling bankruptcy or financial reorganization matters.
Demonstrated ability to manage a dynamic caseload with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with Chapters 7, 11, and 13, including filing procedures and post-petition motions.
Prior court appearance or trustee hearing experience preferred, though not mandatory.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
Coursework or internship experience related to bankruptcy, commercial finance, or debtor-creditor law is considered an asset.
Sharp analytical thinker with a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain professionalism and empathy when working with financially distressed clients.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to meeting filing deadlines and compliance obligations.
