A well-established law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to support its expanding practice, particularly in real estate, estate planning, and business law. Duties

  • Conduct real estate closings and supervise related support staff
  • Draft purchase agreements and conduct title examinations
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Supervise administrative staff, paralegals, and law clerks
  • Provide counsel to clients by assessing their options and recommending courses of action
  • Manage client invoicing, schedule client meetings, and oversee task completion
  • Organize and maintain up-to-date client files
  • Draft and file legal documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
  • Advise clients on asset distribution, retirement plans, charitable contributions, and insurance options
  • Represent clients in court hearings, as necessary

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in estate planning, estate administration, real estate, or business/farm succession planning within a law firm
  • Experience managing support staff and delegating tasks
  • Ability to comply with established law firm processes and procedures
  • Proven interest in specialized legal practice areas, with adaptability to firm systems

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution
  • Undergraduate degree with a legal background

Certifications

  • Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA)
