Job Title: Senior Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:

Duties:

  • Provide clear explanations of complex immigration concepts and offer strategic solutions.
  • Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Manage a variety of immigration cases, ensuring timely progress and accurate documentation.
  • Conduct intake sessions with detained individuals at detention centers.
  • Prepare and file immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions.
  • Review immigration packets and make necessary revisions.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations to stay informed on immigration law changes.
  • Advise potential clients through strategic consultations and develop tailored case strategies.
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS hearings.
  • Offer legal analysis to identify potential case benefits for clients.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience in Immigration Law.
  • Strong ability to manage a caseload and advance legal proceedings.
  • Experience in Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian Law, EOIR, Detained Cases, Citizenship, and USCIS applications.
  • Knowledge of case management software is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the State Bar of California.

Skills:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
