Job Overview

A prominent law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney specializing in personal injury law. The ideal candidate will have extensive trial experience, a strong ability to handle cases from inception to resolution, and a passion for client advocacy.

Duties

  • Manage a variety of personal injury cases, including car accidents, trucking accidents, and premises liability claims.
  • Oversee all phases of litigation, including filing lawsuits, discovery processes, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation.
  • Draft and review legal documents, motions, and memoranda.
  • Evaluate cases and counsel clients on legal strategies and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with litigation teams and attorneys to ensure efficient case management.
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court as a first-chair trial attorney.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in discovery, depositions, mediation, and trials.
  • Proven 1st chair trial experience with no fewer than seven trials to verdict.
  • Expertise in managing personal injury cases, including strategy development and litigation through trial or settlement.
  • Strong organizational, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Professional communication skills for interacting with clients and legal teams.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active and in good standing license to practice law in Texas.
  • Federal court licensure is a plus.
