Trusts & Estates Attorney

A law firm seeks a skilled and experienced Trusts & Estates Attorney to join its team in Danbury, CT. This full-time role is perfect for an attorney with a passion for estate planning and probate law, offering the opportunity to work on diverse matters and provide valuable legal counsel to clients. The ideal candidate will bring at least six years of experience in the field, with strong legal writing skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.

Duties:

• Provide expert legal advice on all aspects of estate planning, including wills, trusts, and tax planning.
• Draft and review estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
• Guide clients through the probate process, including asset distribution, debt settlement, and filing necessary court documents.
• Assist with trust administration and ensure compliance with fiduciary duties.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients by offering proactive support and legal guidance.
• Collaborate with a team of professionals to deliver high-quality legal services to clients.
• Address client concerns and provide tailored solutions based on their specific estate planning and probate needs.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience practicing in estate planning and probate law.
• Valid Connecticut Bar license.
• Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Excellent client communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage a caseload independently.
• Ability to work well within a collaborative team environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in drafting estate planning documents and navigating probate procedures.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be a member in good standing of the Connecticut State Bar.
