Job Title: Trademark Associate Attorney

Job Location: Boston, MA

Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a Trademark Associate Attorney with up to 3 years of experience in trademark law, including domestic and international clearance, prosecution, and enforcement. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team and work with high-profile clients in a dynamic and growing practice.

Duties:

  • Conduct U.S. and international trademark search opinions, prepare and file trademark applications, and respond to office actions.

  • Manage and advise on U.S. and foreign trademark portfolio management, including renewals, maintenance, and ownership conveyances.

  • Communicate and collaborate with foreign counsel regarding trademark filings, office actions, and prosecution matters.

  • Assist in preparing documents for trademark-related agreements and litigation matters.

  • Participate in proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, including oppositions and cancellations.

  • Perform trademark diligence reviews, domain and trademark watches, and legal research.

Requirements:

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

  • Admitted to or eligible for admission in Massachusetts, New York, or Washington, DC.

  • 1-3 years of experience in trademark prosecution, including trademark filing and clearance.

  • Experience with cease-and-desist letters and trademark enforcement matters is preferred.

  • Strong academic credentials and excellent writing skills.

  • Business acumen and strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

  • Interest in public speaking, article writing, and active involvement in marketing and business development.

  • Highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in team environments.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in Massachusetts, New York, or Washington, DC (or eligibility to do so).

Skills:

  • Trademark search, filing, and prosecution experience.

  • Strong writing and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage a high volume of work with attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in legal research and trademark-related legal tools.

  • Experience in trademark litigation and portfolio management.

  • Strong interpersonal and client management skills.
