Job Overview:
A respected law firm is seeking a skilled mid-level associate to join its Investigations, Compliance, and Defense (ICD) practice in the firm’s New York office. This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney with 3-5 years of experience, or 2024-2025 judicial clerks, to contribute to a dynamic and expanding team. The role involves engaging with complex legal matters across multiple industries, including client counseling, strategic analysis, and representing clients before courts and governmental agencies.

Duties:

• Provide comprehensive legal counsel on investigations, compliance, and defense matters.
• Represent clients in oral advocacy before courts, regulatory bodies, and governmental agencies.
• Conduct fact development and legal research to support case strategies.
• Draft strategic legal documents, including memoranda, briefs, and other written communications.
• Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and clients to provide effective legal solutions.
• Contribute to the firm’s pro bono efforts with a commitment to social responsibility.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of relevant legal experience in investigations, compliance, or defense work (or recent judicial clerks with related experience).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively under pressure.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the New York State Bar.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
