Associate Attorney needed for Cerritos office

A law firm in Cerritos, California, is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with 0-3 years of experience to join its corporate transactional, litigation, and real estate practice. The ideal candidate will assist in legal research, court appearances, contract analysis, and negotiation. Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues for briefs and client advisories.
• Appear in court, arbitration, or other judicial forums to present arguments on behalf of clients.
• Review and summarize legal documents, including contracts, with suggested revisions.
• Negotiate contractual terms and resolve legal disputes, including attending settlement conferences.
• Anticipate and mitigate legal risks for clients, developing strategies to avoid litigation.
• Perform due diligence in transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, and contract agreements.

Requirements:

• 0-3 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
• Active license with the California State Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an American Bar Association (ABA)-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar is required.
