A personal injury firm located in the Metro Atlanta area is seeking a highly experienced Medical Malpractice Attorney to join its team. Location:

  • Peachtree Corners, GA

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of medical malpractice cases, including reviewing medical records, discovery responses, and deposition transcripts.
  • Draft pleadings, discovery requests, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Screen and identify potential expert witnesses, and draft their affidavits.
  • Participate in mediation and settlement discussions.
  • Represent clients in court, including preparing for and conducting jury trials.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure a personalized, case-specific approach to each client.
  • Collaborate with firm members to maintain a professional, ego-free work environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience handling medical malpractice cases, whether on the plaintiff or defense side.
  • Expertise in reviewing and analyzing complex medical records and documents.
  • Proven experience in drafting pleadings, discovery documents, motions, and briefs.
  • Experience with mediations and jury trials.
  • Strong ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
  • A proactive and innovative mindset to solve legal challenges.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • A positive, collaborative attitude with no tolerance for drama or egos.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
