The ideal candidate will have extensive trial experience, particularly in personal injury, and proven management skills in handling plaintiff or defense litigation, as well as managing trial lawyers and teams. Duties:

  • Manage and supervise a team of trial attorneys and litigation staff
  • Develop and implement case strategies and trial plans
  • Coordinate trial preparation, including witness preparation and evidence gathering
  • Monitor case budgets and ensure efficient litigation management
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide mentorship to trial attorneys
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards and firm policies
  • Represent clients in high-stakes litigation matters as needed
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment
  • Participate in firm-wide strategic planning and decision-making

 

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of trial experience, with a preference for personal injury trial experience
  • Proven track record in managing plaintiff or defense litigation
  • Experience in managing trial lawyers and trial teams
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client advocacy skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases effectively

 

Certifications:

  • Board Certification in relevant areas of law (preferred)
  • Membership in relevant professional organizations (e.g., Texas Trial Lawyers Association)

 

Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of trial procedures, legal standards, and case law
  • Proficiency in legal research, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
