A prominent law firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Real Estate Attorney to join their growing team. The ideal individual will have expertise in real estate law and related contracts, along with experience in assisting with Co-op apartment transfers. Duties:

• Draft real estate contracts, including AIA contracts and various agreements (e.g., management agreements, and tower licenses).
• Write opinion letters related to interpreting governing documents and local laws.
• Handle commercial financing transactions, such as mortgage refinances.
• Address employment law matters, including employment contracts, collective bargaining agreements, and severance agreements.
• Prepare letters to residents and manage discrimination cases.
• Attend community meetings and participate in Board meetings.
• Engage directly with clients, maintaining strong relationships.
• Assist with Co-op apartment transfer procedures and manage related documentation.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed and admitted to practice in New York State (NYS).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in real estate transactional work.
• Proven expertise in handling community association matters.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to advocate effectively.

Education:

• JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active NYS Bar membership.

Skills:

• Proficient in drafting and negotiating real estate contracts and agreements.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Experience with mortgage refinances and commercial financing.
• Knowledge of employment law and related documentation.
• Effective in client interaction and community-based legal matters.
