Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Miami is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to provide client communication and advice regarding litigation risks, legal rights, and obligations. The candidate will be responsible for evaluating findings, developing strategies, and drafting legal documents for presentation in court. The role involves client interaction, problem resolution, and integration of best practices in handling cases.

Duties:

• Provide client communication and advice on litigation risks, legal rights, and obligations.
• Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments for case presentation.
• Draft legal documents and perform legal review and analysis in the area of law practiced.
• Conduct research on legal issues involving corporate law, commercial contracts, etc.
• Prepare for and attend mediations and hearings as required.
• Interact with clients and resolve problems related to case hearings.
• Integrate best practices and standards in handling clients and cases.
• Timely preparation of discovery to opposing parties and respond to discovery requests.
• Develop new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients.
• Meet designated minimum billable time requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited university.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Florida.
• 3-10 years of experience, with 5+ years of litigation experience in general liability defense, insurance defense, first party property defense, and commercial litigation.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and produce accurate, high-quality work.
• Strong computer skills including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel, as well as proficiency in Westlaw and time-billing software.
