A law firm in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of litigation experience. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in managing written discovery, depositions, and drafting legal documents, as well as attending mediation and court appearances. This role requires a strong academic background, excellent research and writing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Duties:

  • Manage various aspects of litigation, including written discovery and depositions.
  • Draft and review pleadings, substantive motions, and other legal documents.
  • Attend and participate in mediations, court appearances, and trial proceedings.
  • Assist in trial preparation and support during trial.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on complex legal issues.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement case strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in litigation.
  • Demonstrated experience with written discovery, depositions, drafting pleadings and motions, attending mediations and court appearances, and trial assistance.
  • Strong academic record with a focus on litigation.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar in California and in good standing.

Skills:

  • Advanced analytical and legal research capabilities.
  • Proficient in drafting and preparing legal documents.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
