Job Overview

A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Counsel to join its Denver office. This role will focus on a range of litigation matters with an emphasis on de novo trials and construction-related claims. The ideal candidate will have strong hearing and trial experience, outstanding legal writing and research skills, and the ability to manage multiple active matters with a high degree of independence. This position offers a hybrid work schedule and the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative, collegial legal team.

Duties

  • Handle a diverse litigation caseload with a primary focus on:

    • De novo trials

    • Construction claims litigation

  • Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs

  • Conduct legal research, discovery, and depositions

  • Prepare for and participate in court hearings, arbitrations, and trials

  • Manage multiple litigation matters independently while collaborating with legal teams

  • Provide strategic legal guidance to clients across all stages of litigation

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of litigation experience

  • Proven trial and hearing experience required

  • Experience handling construction-related disputes is strongly preferred

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong case management and organizational abilities

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active membership in good standing with the Colorado State Bar

Skills

  • Superior legal writing and analytical skills

  • Strong oral advocacy and courtroom presence

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases simultaneously

  • Skilled in managing client relationships and meeting deadlines

  • Attention to detail and high professional integrity
