Job Overview

A law firm is seeking an experienced International Employment Attorney to join its Employment Group. This is a non-partnership track position that involves providing employment counseling and supporting global employment work. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in international employment law, particularly in the areas of corporate transactions, employee terminations, restrictive covenants, and employee mobility. This role offers the opportunity to work with cross-border teams and international clients while handling complex, high-profile matters.

Duties

  • Conduct employment diligence and advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions.
  • Draft and negotiate employment, retention, and related agreements.
  • Counsel clients on reductions in force, employee terminations, and related legal issues.
  • Draft and advise on restrictive covenants, employee mobility, and non-compete agreements.
  • Provide employment law advice to emerging companies on various legal matters.
  • Collaborate with cross-border teams, handling global employment law issues.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in employment law counseling, with international experience preferred.
  • Experience advising on employment matters related to corporate transactions and employee terminations.
  • Strong experience in drafting employment-related agreements, restrictive covenants, and non-compete clauses.
  • Proven ability to work with international clients and across multiple offices.
  • Ability to manage complex legal issues with a global focus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Must be licensed to practice in the jurisdiction of application.

Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of domestic and international employment law.
  • Excellent writing, legal research, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
