Duties

• Advise clients on legal rights, develop case strategies, and draft necessary legal documents.
• Represent clients during pretrial hearings and provide strategic guidance after each appearance.
• Handle courtroom appearances, trials, motion drafting, and witness interviews.
• Conduct legal research and analyze potential outcomes based on legal precedents.
• Oversee the progression of assigned caseloads while ensuring optimal client representation.
• Provide detailed legal analyses to assess potential case benefits.
• Gather and organize evidence to bolster client cases or counter prosecution charges.
• Prepare clients for depositions and work with expert witnesses to strengthen case positions.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4-5 years of criminal defense experience.
• Proven expertise in handling complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a team of attorneys and staff.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the state of California.

Certifications

• Admission to the California State Bar is mandatory.
