Job Overview:

A law firm in Woburn, MA, seeks a dedicated and skilled Creditor's Rights Attorney to join their team. This role involves managing assigned matters using the firm's case management and reporting software, appearing in court, and adhering to consumer credit collection laws. The ideal candidate will demonstrate superior client care, proactive communication, and exceptional written and verbal skills.

Duties:

• Manage assigned cases utilizing the firm's case management and reporting software.
• Appear in court as required, which may involve some travel.
• Maintain a working knowledge of consumer credit collections, state laws about consumer collections, and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
• Exhibit a commitment to superior client care through proactive communication and effective case management.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct legal research and stay current with creditor's rights law developments.
• Provide strategic advice to clients regarding creditor's rights and collections strategies.

Requirements:

• Must be a member in good standing of the Massachusetts Bar.
• Multi-state licensure is strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in creditor's rights or related fields of law.
• Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated commitment to superior client care and proactive communication.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Massachusetts Bar is required.

Skills:

• Proficient in using case management and reporting software.
