A prominent Central Valley law firm is seeking a dedicated Litigation Attorney to represent a major national retailer in premises liability litigation. The ideal candidate will have experience in law and motion as well as depositions, though training and mentorship will be provided. Duties

• Defend a national retailer in premises liability litigation throughout the Central Valley
• Handle law and motion practices, including preparing motions and court filings
• Take and defend depositions
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and participate in trial preparation
• Provide professional legal advice and strategy for client cases
• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with deadlines
• Work closely with a team of legal professionals, receiving mentoring and training from senior attorneys

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-approved law school
• Licensed to practice law in California (California State Bar)
• Previous defense litigation experience preferred, but not required
• Prior experience in law and motion and depositions is a plus
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to commute to Stockton, CA (relocation required before starting)

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active California State Bar License (Required)

• Litigation and trial preparation experience
