A law firm seeks a Corporate Finance Associate to join its team. This position offers the opportunity to engage in a variety of commercial lending, syndicated loans, and leveraged finance transactions. The firm is looking for a skilled associate with 3-6 years of experience in these areas, ideally with a background in private-equity-backed leveraged finance transactions. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment, leveraging their expertise to support a broad range of clients.

Duties

  • Represent clients in commercial lending, syndicated loans, and other leveraged finance transactions.
  • Work on a variety of matters, including private-equity-backed leveraged finance deals.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members to develop strategies and solutions.
  • Provide legal guidance and support during negotiations and documentation processes.
  • Prepare and review legal documents and agreements related to financing transactions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in commercial lending and leveraged finance.
  • Prior experience with syndicated loans and private-equity-backed transactions is highly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Must be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
