A law firm seeks an experienced Real Estate Closing Attorney to join its well-established team in North Charleston, SC. The ideal candidate will have experience managing residential and commercial real estate transactions, with a focus on facilitating smooth closings. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a solid background in real estate law to work closely with clients, lenders, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful transactions. Duties

  • Manage residential and commercial real estate transactions, including sales, refinances, and property transfers.
  • Review and analyze title documents to ensure clear ownership and proper legal standing.
  • Collaborate with lenders, brokers, real estate agents, buyers, and sellers to coordinate and facilitate transactions.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, deeds, leases, purchase and sale agreements, and loan documents.
  • Provide exceptional service to clients, answering questions and addressing any concerns during the transaction process.
  • Review disbursement ledgers and authorize checks as necessary to complete transactions.
  • Foster and develop long-term business relationships with clients and industry professionals.
  • Lead client training sessions on relevant real estate law topics.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in residential real estate law is preferred; however, training will be provided to the right candidate.
  • An active member of the South Carolina State Bar in good standing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues in a team-oriented environment.
  • A strong desire to build a career in real estate law, particularly with a focus on residential transactions.
  • Proven track record of excellent client service and business development.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • An active member of the South Carolina State Bar (in good standing).
