Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Orlando is seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Attorney to manage a variety of civil, corporate, and commercial litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have experience in employment law, including familiarity with both state and federal laws. The role offers the opportunity to work on complex litigation cases from inception to resolution, providing strong professional growth in a collaborative legal environment.

Duties:

• Represent clients in a range of civil, corporate, and commercial litigation matters, focusing on employment law.
• Handle cases from start to finish, including case intake, drafting legal documents, conducting depositions, managing mediations, and making court appearances.
• Advise clients on legal rights and responsibilities, with a focus on employment law including Title VII, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and related state laws.
• Research legal issues, and precedents, and prepare detailed legal memoranda and briefs.
• Manage a full caseload and ensure timely resolution of cases.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal teams to ensure high-quality service to clients.
• Maintain an active caseload, with the goal of billing 35+ hours per week.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation, particularly in employment law.
• Proven experience in Federal and State Court, including familiarity with business court.
• Strong experience in litigation, legal research, and drafting legal pleadings, memos, and briefs.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a heavy caseload.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Florida.
• A book of business is preferred but not required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Florida.

Skills:

• Strong litigation experience, with a focus on civil and employment law.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities simultaneously.
• Exceptional legal research and writing abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
