A law firm seeks a highly motivated and experienced Senior Litigation Associate to join its team in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will be capable of preparing cases for trial, second-chairing trials, and independently handling cases in the courtroom. Duties:

  • Prepare cases for trial, including formulating strategies, conducting discovery, reviewing records, and preparing clients and witnesses.
  • Conduct legal and factual research to support case preparation.
  • Draft legal documents such as briefs, memos, and client updates.
  • Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Manage a caseload of litigated claims from inception through resolution.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases to develop strong defense strategies.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of litigation experience, with a focus on personal injury defense.
  • Strong knowledge of Texas law and legal procedures.
  • Proven ability to manage case preparation, including discovery, depositions, and courtroom experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking the initiative to address challenges.
  • Client-focused mentality, with a commitment to providing excellent legal services.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Texas Bar License required.
