A law firm in Palo Alto is seeking a Mid-Level Antitrust Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in pre-merger notification and civil and/or criminal antitrust litigation. The ideal candidate will be admitted to practice law in California and possess excellent academic credentials.

Duties:

  • Handle pre-merger notification filings under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act and related regulations.
  • Represent clients in civil and criminal antitrust litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on antitrust issues and provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Assist in managing all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Advise clients on antitrust compliance and risk management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to develop and implement legal strategies.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation.
  • Stay current on developments in antitrust law and policy.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Support senior attorneys in managing cases and business development activities.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in pre-merger notification and civil and/or criminal antitrust litigation.
  • Strong understanding of the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act and related regulations.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex litigation and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Client-focused with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law and in good standing in California.
