A law firm in Redlands, CA, is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney to provide litigation support for senior attorneys. The candidate will assist with client meetings, legal research, drafting documents, discovery, and court appearances. An interest in practicing Family Law is essential, along with strong communication and negotiation skills.

 

Duties:

  • Provide litigation support for senior attorneys, including meeting with clients, conducting legal research, and drafting documents.
  • Assist with drafting client declarations, points and authorities, and other legal pleadings.
  • Aid in discovery processes, including document review and preparation of discovery requests and responses.
  • Attend court hearings and proceedings as required, representing clients when necessary.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on case strategy and development.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior attorneys or management.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar association.
  • 3-7 years of legal experience, preferably in Family Law or litigation.
  • Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and negotiation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in litigation is a plus.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar association.

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and negotiation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in litigation is a plus.
