Personal Injury Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks a dedicated and skilled Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join their team in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Florida personal injury law and the ability to manage a full caseload while providing expert guidance to clients. As part of a collaborative legal team, you will be responsible for evaluating, managing, and negotiating cases to ensure the best outcomes for clients.

Duties:

• Oversee all aspects of personal injury cases, including gathering necessary documentation, and evidence, and conducting investigations.
• Evaluate the merits of each personal injury case and determine the appropriate legal strategy.
• Develop and execute litigation plans, including discovery and preparation of demand letters.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties and ensure clients receive fair compensation.
• Provide clear, effective communication with clients, offering counsel and support throughout the legal process.
• Conduct medical reviews, assess the impact of injuries, and strategize settlement negotiations.
• Manage a full caseload while prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Work collaboratively with a legal team, including providing guidance and leadership to junior staff.
• Open new cases and track case progress using legal case management software.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury litigation.
• Trial experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to advocate for clients effectively.
• Ability to manage a large caseload and work independently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Leadership skills to guide and mentor a team of legal professionals.
• Empathy and the ability to connect with clients during difficult times.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Florida Bar and in good standing.

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Solid organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
