This role involves managing complex litigation cases, with a primary focus on construction-related disputes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction litigation, strong research skills, and the ability to work independently.

Duties

  • Oversee all stages of litigation, including motion practice, legal research, briefing, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, providing skilled advocacy.
  • Draft and review legal documents, pleadings, and contracts relevant to construction and insurance defense cases.
  • Offer legal counsel to clients, advising them on case strategy and potential outcomes.
  • Participate in client meetings and strategy sessions to ensure comprehensive case preparation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in construction litigation and insurance defense.
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, handling a full caseload effectively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Texas State Bar license.

Skills

  • Proficiency in litigation processes, including motion drafting and trial preparation.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in Texas Dram Shop Law is a plus but not required.
  • Effective client communication and negotiation skills.
