Job Overview

A law firm is seeking a highly skilled junior to mid-level litigation associate for a hybrid employment and business litigation position. The ideal candidate will have experience in both employment-related matters and general business/commercial litigation. Location

Duties

  • Represent employers in court and administrative litigation concerning employment discrimination, state and federal leave laws, wage and hour issues, and contract disputes.

  • Handle general business and/or commercial litigation matters, representing both plaintiffs and defendants.

  • Manage all stages of litigation, from investigation and pleadings through discovery, dispositive motions, and trial preparation.

  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and other court submissions.

  • Engage in discovery and conduct depositions.

  • Provide high-quality legal counsel to clients, ensuring the best possible outcome.

  • Collaborate with a larger team while also being able to work independently.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in employment and business litigation.

  • Experience representing employers in employment-related disputes, including discrimination, leave law violations, wage/hour issues, and contract disputes.

  • Familiarity with general business and commercial litigation.

  • Proven ability to handle all stages of litigation, including investigation, pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, and trial.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

  • Strong commitment to providing high-quality client service.

  • Strong academic credentials.

  • Intellectual property experience is a plus but not required.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice in the relevant state jurisdiction.
