Insurance Defense Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its team in Nevada. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with a minimum of five years of experience in civil litigation and insurance defense, particularly in bodily injury defense, employment law, and other related matters. Duties

• Represent clients in civil litigation matters, with a focus on insurance defense, bodily injury defense, and employment law.
• Handle cases from pre-suit through trial, including preparing motions, taking depositions, and arguing cases in court.
• Negotiate settlements and advocate on behalf of clients during hearings and mediations.
• Provide clear and concise legal updates to clients and report on case progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to develop case strategies and prepare documents.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism while managing a diverse caseload.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in insurance defense or a similar civil litigation practice.
• Ability to independently manage and litigate complex cases, including preparing for trial and presenting oral arguments.
• Proficient in taking depositions, drafting legal documents, and representing clients at hearings.
• Strong negotiating skills and a proactive approach to achieving favorable outcomes.
• Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Must be licensed to practice law in Nevada.
• Additional licensure in other states is a plus.
