Commercial Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Littleton, CO, is seeking a seasoned Commercial Litigation Attorney with 5-7 years of experience in handling complex commercial litigation matters, including construction, real estate, and business disputes. The ideal candidate will manage an independent caseload, collaborate effectively within a team environment, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of commercial litigation cases from inception through trial.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex commercial issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and conduct depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution methods.
• Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on litigation strategy and risk management.
• Collaborate with clients, experts, and other attorneys to achieve favorable outcomes.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Colorado State Bar; admission to additional jurisdictions is a plus.
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in commercial litigation, with a focus on construction, real estate, and business disputes.
• Proven track record of managing complex litigation matters independently.
• Strong understanding of federal and state procedural rules and litigation practices.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and adversaries.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Trial experience, including first-chair experience in commercial litigation cases.
• Experience with various phases of discovery and motions practice.
• Familiarity with electronic discovery tools and document management systems.
