A law firm in Dallas, Texas is seeking a skilled Business Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have significant expertise in handling complex business disputes and litigation matters.

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload involving breach of contract, fraud disputes, partnership and shareholder disputes, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, breach of fiduciary duty matters, and commercial contracts.
  • Represent individual trustees, executors, and beneficiaries in high-value estate disputes, including breach of fiduciary duty, undue influence, and lack of capacity issues.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and participate in all aspects of litigation, including hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on strategy, case development, and client communication.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case records and billing entries.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar (or ability to waive in promptly).
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in business litigation, preferably with a focus on complex commercial disputes.
  • Strong academic credentials; must have graduated in the top third of their law school class.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills, demonstrated by a writing sample.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.
  • Experience with discovery processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Exceptional oral advocacy skills with a demonstrated desire to appear in court.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with estate litigation and disputes involving trusts and estates.
  • Familiarity with alternative dispute resolution methods.
  • Proficiency in legal technology and case management software.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar (or ability to waive in promptly).
