Senior Intellectual Property Trademark Associate Attorney

A law firm in Parsippany, NJ, is seeking a Senior Intellectual Property Trademark Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in trademark law. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive expertise in domestic and global trademark prosecution, strategy, enforcement, and management. They should also have proficiency in trademark counseling, clearance searches, prosecution, portfolio management, trademark disputes, internet and e-commerce issues, and online enforcement matters. Experience in structuring, drafting, and negotiating IP and trademark-related agreements is highly desirable. Knowledge of managing IP due diligence, litigation discovery, and handling trademark disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of trademark prosecution, including counseling, clearance searches, analysis, prosecution, and maintenance.
• Develop and implement trademark strategies and enforcement measures.
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements and contractual provisions related to intellectual property and trademarks.
• Conduct IP due diligence and manage litigation discovery processes.
• Represent clients in trademark disputes, including proceedings before the TTAB.
• Advise clients on internet and e-commerce issues and enforce trademark rights online.
• Provide strategic advice on trademark portfolio management and maintenance.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of New Jersey or eligibility for admission.
• 3-5 years of experience practicing trademark law.
• Extensive knowledge of trademark prosecution and enforcement procedures.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Experience with IP due diligence and trademark litigation discovery.
• Familiarity with internet and e-commerce issues in relation to trademark law.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of New Jersey or eligibility for admission.
