Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in labor and employment matters, with an emphasis on single-plaintiff employment claims, class action/PAGA defense, and commercial/business litigation.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis, and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
  • Manage all phases of litigation, from case initiation to trial and potential appeals.
  • Collaborate with clients, partners, and other attorneys to develop legal strategies and solutions.
  • Maintain regular client communication, keeping them informed about case progress and providing legal advice.
  • Stay updated on relevant labor and employment laws, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Handle complex issues related to employment discrimination, wage and hour violations, and other labor-related matters.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, with a focus on labor and employment law.
  • Active California State Bar license.
  • Strong academic record.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research, analysis, and drafting.
  • Knowledge of California labor and employment laws.

Certifications:

  • An active California State Bar license is mandatory for this role.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
