Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in Santa Monica, CA, is seeking a Global Equity Compensation and Employment Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Global Employment, Equity Compensation, and Immigration practice, focusing on a diverse range of equity compensation and employment issues for multinational and emerging companies. Duties:

  • Counsel clients on equity compensation and employment matters, including stock options, restricted stock units, and employee stock purchase plans.
  • Manage compliance with securities and foreign exchange filings, leaves of absence, and employment agreements.
  • Prepare multi-country analyses and draft related documents and agreements.
  • Conduct multijurisdictional research and project manage global teams.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of analysis and research to clients, both in writing and during meetings.
  • Handle employment agreements, handbooks, and diligence projects related to global M&A transactions.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in employee equity compensation or employment counseling, with a preference for cross-border experience.
  • Strong academic credentials and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.
  • Direct experience with the duties listed is highly appreciated.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of California.
