A law firm seeks an Oil & Gas Associate Attorney to join its expanding team in San Antonio, Texas. This position is open to candidates licensed to practice in Texas and/or New Mexico, including those who are awaiting results from the July Bar Exam. The ideal candidate will be eager to develop their skills in the oil and gas sector while working closely with experienced attorneys in a collaborative environment.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and produce well-crafted written materials.
  • Assist in the representation of clients in matters related to oil and gas law.
  • Engage in drafting and reviewing legal documents relevant to the industry.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and development.
  • Participate in client consultations and provide legal advice under supervision.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in Texas or New Mexico; candidates awaiting bar results may apply.
  • Strong proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Knowledge or coursework related to Oil & Gas, Texas Land Titles, Renewable Energy, or Real Property is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Texas or New Mexico Bar, or eligibility to sit for the Bar Exam.

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a supportive team member.
  • Willingness to commute to San Antonio, TX or New Braunfels, TX, as remote work is not available.
