Job Overview: This position involves working full-time as an Associate Attorney for a law firm in Philadelphia, PA. The Associate Attorney will play a vital role in litigation support, client communication, legal document preparation, and courtroom appearances, primarily handling personal injury cases. The role requires hands-on experience in case management, depositions, and drafting legal documents. The attorney will contribute to trial preparation, discovery processes, and help develop litigation strategies.

Location:

  • Philadelphia, PA

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of litigation in personal injury cases.
  • Manage and organize client files and maintain regular communication with clients.
  • Prepare, review, and draft legal documents, letters, and legal forms.
  • Develop litigation strategies for ongoing cases.
  • Draft complaints and respond to new legal matters.
  • Defend depositions and make court appearances.
  • Draft and respond to legal motions and discovery requests.
  • Conduct client meetings as required by the firm.
  • Perform thorough legal research using Westlaw and other legal resources.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Prepare for and handle case depositions.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in personal injury law.
  • Experience in trial proceedings preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience handling depositions and arbitrating cases.
  • Ability to draft complaints, motions, and respond to discovery.
  • Must provide 2 references and 2 writing samples.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar License in Pennsylvania (Preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research, especially using Westlaw.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Attention to detail in drafting legal documents and organizing client files.
  • Strong litigation and case strategy development skills.
  • Effective client management and ability to explain legal processes to clients.
