Family Law Attorney

A law firm in Richland, WA, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Law Attorney with 1 to 6 years of experience to join their collaborative team. The ideal candidate will have courtroom experience, litigation skills, and a strong desire to help families navigate legal challenges. Duties:

• Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, and property division.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Litigate cases in court, presenting evidence and arguments effectively.
• Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations, providing compassionate and clear guidance.
• Participate in mediation and negotiation sessions to resolve disputes amicably.
• Attend weekly meetings to collaborate with other firm attorneys and share insights.
• Utilize WSBA desk-books and other firm resources to stay updated on family law practices and procedures.
• Engage in the firm’s private chat group to ask questions, share knowledge, and support fellow attorneys.
• Maintain detailed and organized case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the state of Washington.
• 1 to 6 years of experience in family law.
• Proven courtroom experience and strong litigation skills.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Compassionate approach to helping families and resolving conflicts.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education:
