Duties

• Represent clients in defense litigation, focusing on insurance defense, including first-party and third-party coverage matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and trials as necessary.
• Negotiate settlements and work closely with clients to protect their interests.
• Collaborate with other legal professionals to develop case strategies.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date case files and documentation.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in litigation, preferably in insurance defense.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Strong knowledge of insurance defense principles and coverage issues.
• Ability to handle a high volume of cases and manage deadlines effectively.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
• Florida Bar membership (required).

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Florida Bar License (required).
